Dersin Amacı

The aim of the course is to provide candidate teachers with the basic knowledge necessary for the education of the individuals with ID and ASD; and to gain the basic competencies necessary for the next education and professional life.

Basic concepts; Individuals with intellectual disabilities (ID); Individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD);  classification, prevalence, causes, academic and non-academic characteristics, educational settings, evidence-based practices, Characteristics of families and supports, services and legal rights.
