Dersin Amacı
The course aims at giving information on function,structure, parts,types, properties, trouble and trouble shooting of Vehicle steering, axle mechanism, brake and suspension systems. The course also includes front axle geometry; constructional properties of tires and rims, training of students on wheel balance, control of front axle geometry with appropriate apparatus and trouble shooting methods.

The course contains subjects related to body structure of vehicle, chasis deformations and their determination, wheel and tyre mechanics, tyres terms and indicator, wheel and road interactions, suspension systems, shock absorbers, front axle geometry, steering system, steering method, stable driving characteristics, power steering systems, hydraulic and pneumatic brake systems, braking characteristics, lateral force
