Dersin Amacı
This lecture aims to support the attendee’s theoretical knowledge and understanding of images and visual culture for communication in society. Visuality in this lecture is handled from a critical and intermedia perspective, where features as politics, history, social relations, gender, and ethnicity are essential. In this context, it is aimed to help the attendee to understand and analyse images which is constructed through mass communication, culture industries, artistic and social movements with the tools of visual sociology.

How the elements of visual culture communication should be used in the contex of effective message creation will be studied with various examples.
