To teach the practical application of heat and mass transfer theory and its application to the drying of agricultural and industrial products in order to extend their life

Dersin İçeriği

Drying technique is a thermal process of removal of moisture from a moist material by moisture evaporation. In drying process, heat and mass transfer are occurring simultaneously. The type and technology of drying systems plays a very important role for obtaining a best condition for a heat and mass transfer. This course includes the topics of describing the moisture content of materials, types of moisture-solid relationships, air humidity, sorption isotherms and using heat and mass balance on the drying process and determining the drying process.
