Dersin Dili Türkçe Dersin Seviyesi Doktora Dersin Türü SECMELI Dersin Koordinatörü Prof.Dr. ALİ OSMAN AYHAN Dersi Verenler Dersin Yardımcıları Dersin Kategorisi Dersin Amacı Many problems faced in engineering applications involve cracking and for accurate life prediction, these problems must be analyzed accurately. Most of the practical problems, on the other hand, involve geometric details and complexities and thus, must be analyzed on computers as numerical models. Therefore, the aim of this course is to provide students with skills for modelling, solving and interpreting two and three-dimensional fracture problems using numerical computer models Dersin İçeriği Introduction, historical summary on development of fracture mechanics. Linear Elastic Fracture Mechanics (LEFM), Stress concentration and singularity, Stress fields for elastic cracks, Stress intensity factor and K-fields. Crack advancement criterion for unstable growth. Experimental methods for LEFM. Fatigue Crack Propagation (FCP). Interface cracks. Numerical methods: singular elements, J-integral. Applications using finite elements: FCPAS, ANSYS.
