Comprehending the importance of educational technology, applying educational technology with learning and teaching methods, understanding educational technology, comprehending the effects of informatics Technologies, being aware of the applications in our country and in the world. Defining the concepts concerning instructional Technologies and material developing. Comprehending the historcal Development of instructional technology, explaining the relation between instructional technology and system approach. Explaining the importance of communication in the educational environments. Ordering the message organizing principles related to educational environments. Explaing the material developing principles. Explaining the basic material preparation approaches. Comprehending the properties of presentation materials. Developing presentation materials by considering the properties of them. Classifying the materials used in educational environments, developing the materials used in educational environments according to the goal. Explaining how to use the computer in education. Assessing the materials prepared in educational environmets in terms of process and product.

Course Content

Concepts about instructional Technologies, properties of various instructional Technologies, The place and usage of instructional Technologies in instructional process, Developing the instructional materials by instructional Technologies: Worksheets, overhead projector slides, slides, video materials, computer based materials, examining the educational softwares, assessing instructional materials having various qualifications.
