Dersin Amacı | Students who are taking this course will be able to form sentences rich in vocabulary by using various sentence structures and write sentences which are similar to the ones they encounter in academic articles. Additionally, students will be able to improve their writing skills by writing about different topics and to improve different writing structures such as sentences, paragraphs, compositions, stories and etc by practicing. |
Dersin İçeriği | In this course, it is aimed to enable students to become familiar with different writing types by using model paragraphs, compositions and academic writings and to gain skills such as being able to realize the meaningful connections between sentences and guess the main idea, and access to the main idea. Another aim of this course is to equip students with authentic writing skills by informing them about the basic principles of writing an essay. Students will be able to use the appropriate phrases and rich variety of academic vocabulary that they learned thanks to model essays and other different types of writing pieces in their own essays and practice. Additionally, students will be able to become familiar with different essay types and write authentic essays similar to those. Spelling and punctuation, and the use of symbols are also included within the content of this course. |
