Dersin Amacı | The present course primarily aims to provide the necessary knowledge regarding the major language teaching approaches and methods that were and are in use to prospective teachers of English. Throughout the course, the students will learn a number of old and current approaches used in English language teaching, which include but are not limited to the Grammar-Translation Method, the Audiolingual Method, Total Physical Response, Communicative Language Teaching, Content and Language Integrated Learning, Multiple Intelligence, and so forth. The significance of a range of effective activities and resources for their future classrooms will also be touched upon frequently. Not only familiarity with these methods and approaches, but also effective uses of them are among the issues to be covered in this course. |
