Dersin Amacı | To have adequate academic knowledge about the definition and functions of language, grammar, and the basic concepts of linguistics, affixes, types of word derivation, spelling rules. |
Dersin İçeriği | The structural features of Turkish; word (root, stem, base, affix), word types according to their origins (native word, nonnative word: etymology), word types according to their structures (simple word, derived word, compound word), word class (noun, adjective, verb, adverb, pronoun, conjunction, proposition, interjection); affixes in Turkish (a) derivational affixes, b) inflections, c) gerunds and infinitives, d) causatives, e) ekfiil ekleri); types of word derivation in Turkish. Word stress. Analysis of roots, stems, and affixes of words.
