Dersin Amacı | The aim of this course is to get to know and understand ceramic material by learning the main subjects of chemistry. In addition student’s ability to critical evaluate the final results will be gained by undertaking research on these subjects. |
Dersin İçeriği | During the course students will be introduced to the main concepts of General Chemistry (Chemistry, matter, mass, element, compound, etc.), atom and structure, periodic table and properties, acid-base and salts, general characteristics of the ceramic and glass material by chemical bonding and formula calculation, classification and firing of ceramics, using oxides and fixing glaze defects. |
