Dersin Amacı Roofs; vertical circulation tools; door and window joiners; information on facing roofs with reference to the concepts of sustainable architecture and ecology of structure production; theory and practices on plan, section, elevation and detail.
Dersin İçeriği Classifications on roofs with reference to the principles of design and application; identification of the relevant elements which are compatible with particular roof types and their roles in the roof construction, their sizes; principles of organization and installation; basic information on water problem and tin work; principles of design, production, management, use, classification, identification, measurement and calculation of tools of vertical circulation (ramp, staircases, escalators moving bands, elevators); inquiry on the basic principles of door and window joiners (wood, metal, plastic), curtain wall systems and facing (wall, floor and ceiling).

1 Introduction of the subject of the course, the process of the course and basic resources. Basic design-production principles of simple-constructed roofs.
2 Identification of the basic elements of self-consolidating system roofs and their roles, their sizes and principles of design. Practice: Single direction sloped self-consolidating wood roof examples.
3 Identification of the basic elements of gable roofs. Roofs. Practice: Self-consolidating gable roofs. Assignment: Definition of the practice and construction of a model.
4 Hipped roofs, methods and solutions, basic elements of roofs. Practice: Self-consolidating system hipped roof.
5 Basic information on cable roofs and roof truss. Definitions about roof covering and tin work, cornice, chimney bottom details, basic products and elements.
6 Basic information on the tools of vertical circulation. Principles of classification, identification, measurement, design and production of staircases. Practice: Double-return staircase.
7 Construction of staircases and their integration to the conveyor system. Practice: Three-flight staircase.

9 Spiral staircases and systems of stabilization. Practice: Stabilization of staircases. Assignment: Definition of the practice and construction of a model of spiral staircase.
