Dersin Amacı

According to the statistics held between 1950-2004, the number of houses affected by landslides in our country is 65000, the number of landslide incidents is 4000, the number of settlements affected by landslides or the number of settlements affected by landslides is 167,787. The increasing population and urbanization will increase these effects in the future. Therefore, it is İMPORTANT to take precautions to minimize the negative effects of landslides.

Dersin İçeriği

Landslide terminology, impact on geology and geomorphology of landslides, mass movement and classification, their effects on water and mass movement on the slope, landslide characteristics of risk areas, landslide inventory studies , Stability and landslide hazard maps, preparation of Geographical Information Systems to landslide hazard map and stability, landslide early warning systems, measures can be taken against the landslide hazards.
