Course Objective

The main purpose of the course is to inform the students about family education and consultancy.

The objectives of this course are:
* To be able to discuss basic concepts related to family,
* To be able to describe the basic aims, principles and methods of family education.
* To be able to discuss the needs of the families and ways of meeting them.
* To be able to investigate the ways to help the process of families' adoptatin and socialization of the child with disability.
* To be able to planning family training sessions towards skill and concept teaching based on behavioral perspectives.
* To be able to evaluate the studies performed on families who have children with disabilities in Turkey.
