Dersin Amacı The countries in the Middle East share common advantages and disadvantages with respect to economic development. Economic units from private and public sectors might benefit from the knowledge on and analyses of factors such as relatively young population, dependence on the natural resources, government types and issues of governance, politic (in)stability.
Dersin İçeriği The terms economic growth and economic development will be differentiated; the theories of economic development will be discussed; human capital, social capital, natural resources, corruption and governance, democracy, transnational corporations, foreign aid and debt, saving and capital accumulation will be analyzed in the context of economic development
