Dersin Amacı | DURING THE COLD WAR PERIOD, INTRA-STATE CONFLICTS, SEPARATIST NATIONALIST MOVEMENTS HAVE EMERGED AS NEW SECUTIRY THREATS AGAINST THE STATES? TERRITORIAL INTEGRITY. IN THE MEANTIME, ETHNIC NATIONALIST AND RADICAL RELIGIOUS TERRORIST MOVEMENTS HAVE ALSO THREATENED THE INTERNATIONAL SECURITY.IN ORDER TO DEAL WITH THESE NEW THREATS, THE STATES SHALL NOT TRUST TO THEIR MILITARY POWERS. MEANWHILE THEY HAVE TO USE DIFFERENT INSTRUMENTS WHEN THEY TRY TO SOLVE THE ISSUES. INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS STUDENTS HAVE TO HAVE AN ACADEMIC KNOWLEDGE ABOUT CONFLICT RESOLUTION THEORIES, METHODS AND INSTRUMENTS. |
