| Dersin Amacı | This course seeks to analyze political developments in the Caucasus, with a special emphasis on approaches to peaceful resolution of conflicts. Given the centrality of the region to energy transportation, students will be introduced to factors affecting stability and instability in the region, which have a direct bearing on energy security. |
| Dersin İçeriği | This course will mainly investigate the Caucasian geography by focusing on ethno-political structure from the North to the South. The historical, cultural and ethnic roots of the ongoing conflicts, as well as the involvement of global powers in the Caucasus, are analyzed. The course also discusses Turkeys policies toward the region. |
