Dersin Amacı The aim of this course is to provide introductory survey of the principles of banking and financial institutions. Course focuses on recognize the banking organizations and other financial institutions and to provide framework for studying the role of financial system in economic activity; Furthermore, it gives education on origins of banking from historical times to the present day, development efforts, functions of other financial institutions and financial intermediaries, and their impact on overall economic activities.
Dersin İçeriği To recognize and define the functions and roles of financial system, banking system within financial system and its operations: introductory survey of the principles, functions, kinds, operations
deposit services, deposit accounts, instruments, payment flows of banking. To assess the relationship between real economy and financial sector, funds flows, foreign exchange markets, exchange rate behavior, Credit Instruments and Credit Markets ,risks and its management; the role of the Central Bank in the Banking System with special emphasis on management and its balance sheet,
liquidity in the local environment and the impact of central Bank controls and Banking Laws on Bank Portfolio Management, banks balance sheet and asset-liability management, banking free interest and other financial institutions
