Dersin Amacı This course will introduce students to the structual and conjenctural factors affecting the political processes in the Balkans in the post-1990 period. A special emphasis will be put on the influence of the international actors on regional dynamics, and Turkey´s role in regional developments.
Dersin İçeriği Firstly, this course aims at introducing historical developments composing current issues which are also occurred in Balkans. At the second step; events which has the capacity to impact on Balkans and potential conflict regions in Balkans will be illustrated. Finally, each Balkan states will be handled as an example case and also developments after 1990 will be investigated.
During the operation of course, it will be provided to encourage students to improve their search and analyses skills about topics planned to be discussed at courses. The course process is an interactive discussion about topics with students participation
