Dersin Amacı | The purpose of course is to explain the origin, historical roots and philosophical sources of economics. Developing the critical abilities of students about mainstream economics is also one of the aims of this course. |
Dersin İçeriği | This course proceeds in three themes. First, it takes into consideration the philosophical and historical roots of economics. The transition from political economy to economics, differantiation of traditions are analyzed. Second, epistemology and methodolgy of economics would be analyzed. The relationship between methodology of economics and philosophy of science in the first half of twentieth century will be discussed in detail. Third, the course focuses on ethics and onthology of economics. It reviews and discuss the literatüre on ethics and onthology. |
