Dersin Amacı | The primary goal of this course is to examine the emergence and expansion of Russia as a major power in European and world history. A secondary goal of this course is to give background information to those students who are planning to take the seminar on Security and Foreign Policy of Russia. |
Dersin İçeriği | The course examines different historical stages of the rise of Russia -and its successor states- as major European and global powers. In this context, the course covers closely the relations between Russia and other European powers and global powers. A special emphasis is placed on Russian geopolitics in the 20th century. |
