Course Category
Course Objective The Middle East region is still the most influential region in the world politics. Especially concerning the terrorism, democratization, regional conflicts and nuclear weapons, the scholars have to analyze the Middle East´s politics. In the meantime, after the Cold War, the United States is still influential actor in the region´s politics. Today the US administration have played very active and effective policies concerning the Arab Spring, Afghanistan, Iraq, Palestine etc. issues. It also dominates the region´s oil exploitations.
Course Content The US´s relations with the Islamic groups, regional security, relations with the Gulf Countries, Iraq, Gulf countries, Islamic sects, Afghanistan, Syria, Libya, Economic relations, energy security, Iran.
