Dersin Amacı In the contemporary world politics, Black Sea is a pivotal region for the global powers. After the dismemberment of USSR the number of the coastal states of Black Sea has increased much and besides the former coastal states (Turkey, Russia Federation, Bulgaria and Romania) the newer coastal states like Ukraine and Georgia have also gained their independence. For the coastal states excluding Turkey and Russia, Black Sea is the only way out to the seas. In addition to states that have coasts near Black Sea, states that take place in the corridor linking Asia to Europe and in the transportation process of Caspian Energy sources to the west (Armenia and Azerbaijan) are also regarded as the Black Sea countries under the heading of ?Big Black Sea Region?. Both the energy resources in the region and the energy transport lines used in the transmission of these energy resources to the West safely have increased the importance of Black Sea. Color revolutions have started a new power struggle in the line of Baltic-Black Sea and Caspian Sea. In the historical and strategic aspects Turkey is effective in the region and with regard to maintenance of stability and its influence, performance of Turkey among the regional countries is also very important. Not only USA, EU and Russia but also many other global and regional powers and coastal countries are nowadays in struggle for the sake of Black Sea which has strategic significance. With this vision taking the strategic importance of the region into consideration, this lecture which aims to analyze Black Sea in the strategic and regional aspect in global politics, to understand the value and importance of Black Sea in the global politics and earth peace, to figure out the organizations like KEİ, NATO, OSCE, EU, UN and their operation mechanisms, to evaluate the politics of USA, EU and the coastal countries of Black Sea like Turkey, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Romania and Georgia, to comment on disputes, bases, ecological disasters and energy politics in Black Sea from multiple aspects, is very essential in general for the investigators studying international relations and in particular for investigators studying over Caucasia, Russia, Ukraine and Balkan.
By using scientific methods, evaluate the data, ideas and concepts of Foreign Politics and International Relations through the examination of the history of the relations among the basic units of the international system of the countries which are found in the Black Sea geopolitics.
Dersin İçeriği In order to understand the position and importance of Black Sea in the global peace and world politics, to figure out the organizations like KEİ, NATO, OSCE, EU, UN and their operation mechanisms, to evaluate the politics of USA, EU and the coastal countries of Black Sea like Turkey, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Romania and Georgia, to comment on disputes, bases, ecological disasters and energy politics in Black Sea from multiple aspects, the persistent problems in the progress of this lecture will be analyzed under the guide of international theories and will be interpreted from a scientific perspective concerning the main headings listed below.
