Dersin Amacı

It is intendet in the instrucktion history of translation, that the students learn the translation activitys and methods in different periods, the changes that occur and similarity and dissimilarity between the changes

Dersin İçeriği

The translation process has began with (Cicero, Goethe, Schlegel, Humboldt, Schleiermacher) from perspectif of the linguistik history. In the process of history had the translation played an important role in the period of the ottomans. Especialy the translations to turkish and from turkısh were influential on the new reforming of the state and of the the society. This workings will researched in folllowing matters:

*Translation in near and middle east (China, India, Mesopotamıa, Egypt)
*Translation in Europe (Greece, Spain, Italy)
*Translation in anatolia (Scools of Antakya, Harran, Bagdat)
*Translation in the period of the ottomans
Translation in in the period of the Republic of turkey
