Course Objective To gain basic knowledge on seismic interpretation topic.
Course Content Sesimic waves and wavelet definition. Resolution criteria of seismic data. Definition of seismic wave velocities. Before and after stacked seismic reflection data. Data processing with standart and non-standart technics of the stacked data. Velocity estimation from seismic data and its lithologic relation. Amplitude versus offset relation. Seismic well data and its surface seismic relation. Seismic stratigraphic data processing and interpretation. Before and after stack migration. Complex trace analysis. Pitfalls in seismic interpretation. Time/depth contur maps.
