Course Objective

Examination of a biological or pharmacological effect in addition to the design and synthesis of new molecules of organic chemistry has been a wanted feature in recent years. So instead of examining the biological activity of new molecules synthesized, choosing an enzyme targets and designing and synthesis of new inhibitors for this enzyme activities came to the fore. In this context, primarily to design new inhibitory molecules for a target enzyme, be able to select suitable methods for the synthesis of the molecule and on which these inhibitors of enzymes what way inhibit intended to provide review capability.

Course Content

Structure of enzymes; enzyme inhibitor interactions; enzyme inhibition mechanism; screening for known inhibitors of the targeted enzyme; design of new inhibitors for the target enzyme;  synthesis of designed inhibitors.
