Dersin Amacı In the last years, the world has been facing an inreasing air pollution problem. Continuously increasing energy demand directed the studies on cleaner energy resources in addition to emission reduction. At the present time, the portion of industrial generated emissions has reached to very important levels. In this course, basic information about industrial generated pollution and its control are aimed to give to the students.
Dersin İçeriği General concepts, emission units and conversions. Emission dispertion. Fuels and their specifications. Combustion reactions, combustion products and combustion stoichiometry. Combustion generated emissions, their formation mechanisms and controls. Sulphurdioxides control methods and obtained products, Nitrogen oxide control and discriminatory catalyst reactors. Particulate emissions and particulate collectors. Alternative combustion techniques and effective energy usage.
