Course Objective | Giving students an understanding of physical and chemical properties of materials and their testing used in automative field. |
Course Content | The lecture includes definition of materials and their application areas, physical and chemical properties of materials, material science mathematics such as cast iron, stell and steel alloys, aluminium and aluminium alloys, Copper and copper alloys, nonmetal materials, composite materials, plastic materials. Material, mechanical and nondestructive testing methods such as Electron and microscope tests, Light and X-ray analysis method are provided. |
