Week Course Topics Preliminary Preparation
1 Introduction to exercise physiology, basic terms, cell physiology.
2 Muscle physiology, muscle fiber types, contraction mechanism, contraction types, adaptation of muscles fiber types to the exercise.
3 Energy systems,aerobic and anaerobic energy systems, anaerobic threshold description, recovery, oxygen borrowing.
4 Heart physiology, heart work and working regulation, circulation system physiology.
5 Adaptation of heart and circulation system to the acute and chronical exercise, heart of a sportsman
6 Lung and respiration systems physiology, inspiration and expiration mechanism, respiration function tests, lung volume and capacities.
7 Adaptation of respiration system to the acute and chronical exercise
8 Endocrine system,endocrine glands, hormones which endocrine system produces and their effects.
10 Adaptation of endocrine system to the acute and chronical exercise, stress hormones, regulation of blood glucose level during the exercise
11 Central nervous system, reflex, reaction, balance, posture, peripheric nervous system.
12 Autonomic nervous system, exhaustion mechanism.
