Dersin Amacı

It is a science that compares a culture or subculture music with its sounds, sound pitches, performance style, relation to the culture it develops in, and compares it with the music of other cultures. In the years of 1880, researchers first referred to comparative musicology in this area. Dutch Jaap Kunst, an expert on Indonesian music, has developed ethnomusicology in the 1950s. In 1956, anthropologists and musicians interested in world music founded the Ethnomusicology Association. In time, the field of study of ethnomusicology expanded. Today; Traditional Turkish Music (Traditional Turkish Folk Music and Traditional Turkish Folk Music), Near Eastern Music (Eastern Music), Far East Music (Japan, Chinese etc.), English Folk Songs, New Guinea Tribes Music, African Palace Music, It is a science that covers a variety of subjects such as music, social and commercial structure of popular music in Europe and America.

The field of ethnomusicology, based on 'roots generally in the 1880s and 1890s, began with amateur and professional work with interest in the music of cultures outside of european culture, and has now expanded. b. Nettle is based on the origins of ethnomusicology, the renaissance and recent medieval composers who use foreign material in some of their works, folk music, even some of which use Asian materials.
