GenelKabulKosullariThe acceptance conditions and quotas of Citizens of Republic of Turkey and foreign students who will be approved for the PhD programme in department of mathematics which are determined with the proposal of related departments, IC decision and the Senate's approval are announced in the website of the Institute of Science and Technology (www.fbe.sakarya.edu.tr) before the start of the academic period.
For candidates who are citizens of the Republic of Turkey; to score at least "65" from the declared "ALES" score type in the consulting program. A minimum score of "55" from the YDS or a foreign language examination accepted by the Inter-University Board must be equivalent to this score. Assessment of success in admission to the doctoral program: 50% of the ALES grade, 25% of the science exam grade, and 25% of the graduation grade of the master degree are determined. In the doctoral programs, the science examination is written and interviewed. Candidates who are below the "50" score on the science exam grade "100" and who fail to take the science exam are deemed unsuccessful and can not be registered. There is no excuse examination for the science exam. The graduation note (the grading system used by the university during the course of study) is evaluated according to the grading schedule determined by the Hihger Education Council, except for the "4" system.
For foreign nationals; The quotas can be increased if the relevant "EABD / EASD" presidency requests. Applicants must have an undergraduate or graduate grade average of at least "2.50" in the "4" grading system. Foreign language conditions are not required for foreign nationals. "ALES" is not required to complete an education at those outside Turkey. One received training at least from the completed "ALES" in Turkey "45" points or Higher Education from an examination recognized at the international level to be determined by the authority must receive equal points. Foreign Student Achievement Assessment: Success ranking; based on the grading average of the grades, the evaluation of the "EABD / EASD " presidency and the IAC decision.
GenelKabulKosullariStudents must comply with the legal and academic requirements to access the studies in The Sakarya University according to the process established by the YÖK (Higher Education Council) regulations. Students who have started studies in other universities within or outside of the country may apply for their recognition. The recognition record is unique for each student and therefore the procedure is carried out accordingly before the start of each academic year.
Under an established exchanges program or one approved by the University, exchange students from abroad may be accepted for studies on the courses taught in English. Or, if they are confident in Turkish, they may then enrol any courses, running in Turkish, shown on the “Course Structure” diagram.
